Role Description

Our large, enterprise Oil & Gas client is seeking a Senior Application Security Specialist to integrate secure development practices into retail, web, mobile, and cloud-native applications.
This is an initial contract until end of year with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and agreeable to a full-time in office working model. 
Must-Haves:
7+ years' in software development and application security 
Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and C#, with the ability to review complex codebases
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services 
Experience implementing and securing authentication and authorization using AWS and Cognito
Strong understanding of secure coding practices, software security principles, threat modeling, and common vulnerability classes.
Experience reviewing application designs and identifying security risks.
