A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Photon Control Inc., a subsidiary of MKS Inc., you play a key role in the design, development and delivery of cutting‑edge optical sensor solutions required for advanced semiconductor fabrication. In this role, you will work in the Advanced Development group and report to the Principal Optical Architect.

You Will Make an Impact By:

Leading the mechanical design of advanced optical sensor technology platforms and test fixtures.

Designing, building, testing, and documenting mechanical designs and test results.

Performing thermal and mechanical simulations for the development of new optical sensors and characterization equipment.

Working cross‑functionally with other team members to correlate optical characteristics/performance with physical and thermal characteristics to drive understanding and development of next generation temperature and position sensors.
