Senior Software Engineer, R&D (Simulation/Physics)

This is a hybrid position in our Florianopolis, SC office in Brazil. We request all resumes/CVs to be submitted in English for this role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, implement, and maintain software modules and subsystems for Ansys Rocky and Ansys FreeFlow (DEM/SPH simulation software) using C++ and Python
• Analyze and translate customer requirements into practical development objectives and features
• Debug and resolve issues, including performing bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products
• Write clear, maintainable documentation for new and existing codebases
• Collaborate closely with other engineers and QA to research and solve problems uncovered during testing or customer support
• Apply numerical analysis techniques—linear algebra, interpolation, differentiation, integration—to solve engineering simulation problems
