Role Description

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Ship Load Planner to support a unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute accurate cargo and container stowage plans to optimize the loading and unloading of vessels while adhering to operational constraints and safety guidelines.

Coordinate with shipping agents, port authorities, stevedores, and logistics personnel to ensure timely and efficient cargo movement.

Work with vessel captains and marine terminals to determine stowage requirements and ensure the stability, safety, and seaworthiness of vessels.

Analyze freight manifests and verify cargo dimensions, weights, and special handling requirements to appropriately place in the stowage plan.
