Ship Load Planner

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a **Ship Load Planner** to support a unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.

**Job Responsibilities:**

+ Develop and execute accurate cargo and container stowage plans to optimize the loading and unloading of vessels while adhering to operational constraints and safety guidelines.
+ Coordinate with shipping agents, port authorities, stevedores, and logistics personnel to ensure timely and efficient cargo movement.
+ Work with vessel captains and marine terminals to determine stowage requirements and ensure the stability, safety, and seaworthiness of vessels.
+ Analyze freight manifests and verify cargo dimensions, weights, and special handling requirements to appropriately place in the stowage plan.
