Staff Accountant

Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for a manufacturing organization in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a Long-term Contract position with the potential to turn into a permanent role over time. The person in this seat will help stabilize financial records, manage transactional accounting activities, and partner closely with leadership on ongoing accounting projects.


Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and customer transactions accurately while maintaining timely accounts payable and accounts receivable records.

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to help ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.

• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities in support of reliable financial reporting.
