Role Description
Overview The Substations Engineering Manager supports the Director of the Eastern Region, part of the Transmission and Distribution Technical Professional Organization (TPO), to meet strategies and objectives by providing effective team leadership in the engineering of HV and MV substations.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, schedule and direct engineering for substation projects to ensure safe and efficient engineered solutions complying with engineering and quality processes, regulatory code requirements, utility Standards and industry best practices.
Perform day‑to‑day supervision and be responsible for the work of staff assigned to specific projects and provide guidance/direction as necessary.
Facilitate mentoring of Intermediate & Junior Engineers and Designers. Support the development of Senior and principal Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. Facilitate and create a working environment with a philosophy and goals of continuous quality improve...
