Toolmaker/CNC Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate mills machines, lathes, surface grinders and CNC machining equipment by entering instructions, including zero and reference points

• Must be able to read and work from CAD/CAM files, engineering drawings, sketches and or verbal instructions to perform highly diversified EDM operations and specifications

• Able to create and edit semi-complex programs using CAD/CAM systems and machine controllers

• Perform complex precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions

• Check work using precision inspection instruments and devices

• Plan and construct intricate tools, fixtures and gauges to extremely close tolerances

• Perform work in a safe manner, keeping tool room equipment clean and in safe working condition

• Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adhere to all quality standard regulation
