Role Description

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking an experienced Tug 2nd Engineer to support operations on the island of Diego Garcia. The Tug 2nd Engineer is responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in monitoring, maintaining, and repairing the mechanical and electrical systems aboard the tug, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability during tug operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Chief Engineer in operating, maintaining, and monitoring the mechanical systems, propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and electrical systems aboard the tug.

Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of vessel components including engines, gearboxes, generators, hydraulics, pumps, and electrical systems to ensure safe and optimal operation.
