Overview

Role: Veterinary Extern - General Practice at NVA Canada . We are a busy, full-service, 11-doctor practice in beautiful Barrie, ON. We have a great team of experienced Veterinarians who are happy to share their knowledge and collaborate. We have been an AAHA Accredited Hospital for over 25 years and are Fear Free and Feline Friendly Certified. We see a variety of breeds of dogs and cats, as well as pocket pets and the odd pig.

Responsibilities

• Gaining experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creation of treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observing/assisting or performing surgical procedures, and medical management of patients.
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
