Welder

Job Description

As a Welder, the primary task is to assemble metal plates or pipes for production and plant use. This may include:

• Repair of existing parts
• Welding work will be in the form of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) or Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Application.
• Work locations may include inside the operation area, within the plant premises, or elevated locations (6ft above).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and fabrication activities involving rotating equipment, gears, belts, tensions, ducts, furnace, fabrication of replacement and spare parts, and mechanical improvements.
• Assist in machine installations, relocations, safekeeping of idle machines, and re-installation when required.
• Conduct machine maintenance works.
• Perform primer painting prior to installation.
• Report directly to any available engineer on-site.
